Peter Harvey Not Guilty

The science teacher who bludgeoned a 14-year-old pupil with a dumbbell has been sacked from his job.

Peter Harvey, 50, was given a two-year community order on Monday after he admitted he hit the boy with the 3kg weight while being taunted during a lesson in July last year.

His union, the NASUWT, said it hoped Nottinghamshire county council and All Saints school in Mansfield would let him retire on grounds of ill-health.

But, it was revealed Mr Harvey apparently had been sacked.

Peter Harvey charged with assault of British schoolboy

This is support for Mr Peter Harvey - Science Teacher at All Saints RC Comp in Mansfield Nottinghamshire.

Mr Peter Harvey is in court for assaulting one of his pupil who provoked him just to film him going off the edge. While I do not condone violence, it is worth noting that a dedicated teacher for the past 16 years had to endure this kind of stress from unruly children whose parents did not seem to know how to discipline.

This is my response: Mr Harvey deserve every help possible and the Jury should find him innocent of any charges brought before the court.

The boy who was bludgeoned certainly deserve it. Every person has a breaking point and Mr Harvey obviously has had his.
